From the below average town that can’t help but build roundabouts comes the latest in European one upping. Forest Lake city council has been in talks with Roädway-Yürway, a Swedish highway design company to build a one-of-kind double decker roundabout. Forest Lake is already home to more than four roundabouts, none of which the residents know how to navigate properly. That isn’t stopping them from striving to be the leader in circular traffic solutions in the state of Minnesota. Unnecessary? Yes.
Plans have been submitted and a vote has been set for later this month. Citizens can attend a hearing on the proposal next Thursday at 7pm.
